TAKE ACTIONWith the help of dedicated volunteers and community activists, the ACLU of Florida works to raise awareness about the importance of preserving the individual rights and liberties that are guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States. There are several ways that you can support the work of the ACLU of Florida. The actions listed below are meaningful ways of raising public awareness and shifting policy. They can be undertaken by individuals or groups of interested people. Support the ACLU of FloridaYou can support the work of the ACLU of Florida by becoming a members and/or making a financial contribution. Doing so helps support the litigation, legislative lobbying, public education, and organizing work of the ACLU. Get Active in Your CommunityOn September 8, the ACLU will launch a new chapter in the history of activism, with the premiere of Beyond the Patriot Act, produced by the ACLU and Robert Greenwald (Unconstitutional, Outfoxed). For the first time, the power of TV to motivate will combine with the power of the Internet to activate and the power of people to make a difference. You can host a Community Premiere of this ground-breaking TV show in your own home, you can help lead the push to reform the Patriot Act. Click here for more information.
