Freedom files forum on religion

The Chapter held a Freedom Files Forum on Religion, Wednesday, March 7th at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.  Over 70 attended the 2.5 hour film preview and panel forum.

The evening's theme was about respecting and understanding religions and those who choose to believe by having an open, willingness to share and an honest desire to listen.

The program began with the showing of the video "Religious Freedom", one episode from the 10-part series The ACLU Freedom Files that tells the stories of real people in America whose civil liberties have been threatened, and how they fought back about critical civil rights issues involving religious freedom.

After the video presentation, the program continued with an open religious discussion and audience participation with a panel of local religious leaders from several faiths and non-faiths including Judaism, various Christian denominations, Unitarian-Universalist, Wicca, Atheism and Santería.  Panel members are listed separately below.
